Baby Nursery Bedding – The First Step to a Great Nursery

Baby Nursery bedding can be considered the first step to beautiful baby nursery decor for your little one’s room. People often look first for baby furniture and the build their nursery decoration upon it, when in reality, choosing the baby nursery bedding (baby linens, etc.) takes top priority.

I ended up having to give up the bedding pattern I really loved because this particular whimsical pattern only coordinated well with a white or natural-colored crib. Back to the drawing board for me! Luckily, I had some time (although I was running out of patience) to dig deeper for an appropriate pattern to match my furniture.

First of all, let’s think about features of baby nursery bedding. Color and style of baby nursery bedding must factor into your decision. Are the bedding colors bright and vibrant or are they soft and soothing? Is the style whimsical and fun or delicate and calming? I have found that brighter, more whimsical baby linens and bedding tend to look better with lighter colored furniture (white, natural, light honey, etc.). Softer patterns and richer shades tend to look great with medium to dark-colored furniture (cherry, cognac, mahogany, etc.).

Some other important nursery decoration considerations are the background features that could make or break the overall mood or ambiance. Wall color, wall art and wall murals can make a baby’s room come alive with color, pattern and/or scenes of your choice designed to be visually stimulating and enjoyable for your little one.
